On September 22, 2012, at approximately 11:28 am, Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle injury crash on theUS26 Business Loop near Ririe.

Alvin Rees, 68, of Rexburg was driving north on the US26 Business Loop towards Ririe on a 1986 Honda motorcycle.  Rees drove off the left side of the road and crashed into the borrow pit.  Rees was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
