On Sunday, October 21, 2012, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on I15 at milepost 69, near the Clark St. exit in Pocatello, ID.

Jerry E. Brown, 77, of Rigby, ID, was traveling south on I15 in a semi pulling a cattle trailer.  Karen S. Lainez, 35, of Blackfoot, ID, was merging onto I15 from exit 69 in a 1995 Chrysler Sebring.  Lainez failed to yield, causing her vehicle to side-swipe the cattle trailer. 
 
Lainez and her three passengers were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID.
