On November 24, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a non-injury crash at the intersection of Yakima Avenue and South Lincoln Avenue, in Jerome, Idaho.  Officer Gates, age 32, of Jerome was traveling south on Yakima Avenue, in a Dodge Charger.  Travis Mesheski, age 32, of Twin Falls was traveling north on Yakima Avenue, in a Nissan Versa.  Officer Gates turned in front of Mesheski's vehicle at a green light and struck Mesheski's vehicle.  

The northbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately one hour.  This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
