On Saturday, May 30, 2020 at approximately 2:12 a.m., Idaho State Police attempted to make a traffic stop on US93 near milepost 53, north of Twin Falls.

A 61 year old male from Nampa was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass. A pursuit was initiated when he failed to stop, and was discontinued when he entered Twin Falls City limits. Idaho State Police began pursuing him again eastbound on Addison Avenue near Eastland Drive in Twin Falls County.

He failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of State Highway 50 and N 3600 E, near Kimberly, struck a center pivot irrigation tower, and rolled. Idaho State Police immediately began rendering aid to him.

He was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries on scene. Next of kin has not been notified. Twin Falls County is investigating the crash.
