Safe driving skills are essential for motorcyclists, but not all riders have the training they need. That's why Troopers with the Idaho State Police Motor Unit are partnering with Grand Teton Harley Davidson for a free training event, the 1st Annual Shiny Side Up Motorcycle Rally.

"There's a lot that motorcyclists can do that will make a big difference in keeping themselves safe," said Idaho State Police Sgt. Andrew Nakashima of District 5 in Pocatello. "This rally is a chance for folks to learn from those of us who have the opportunity to train all the time. We want to share the most valuable, life-saving lessons from that training with other riders."

The Shiny Side Up Motorcycle Rally includes safety training and techniques designed for riders of all skill levels, from beginner to experienced.
