Old-District 6 -Eastern Idaho

Welcome to ISP District 6

Known for its breath-taking scenery and unlimited outdoor recreation, ISP District 6 boasts some of Idaho’s most beautiful views.  Fishing, camping, and hiking are just a few of the activities available to the approximately 229,634 people who call Eastern Idaho home.

The men and women who serve in District Six cover one of the state’s largest geographical districts.  There are ten counties in District Six, and it stretches from Montana on the North to Wyoming on the East. ISP Troopers here are vital to law enforcement in many remote cities and towns in Eastern Idaho and worked to support allied law enforcement agencies by providing a variety of tools, including traffic enforcement and investigation as well as criminal investigations.

ISP District Six includes several resident troopers who live in Salmon, Challis, Arco, Ashton, Driggs, and Island Park.  Living in the community gives ISP Troopers opportunities to be a part of and serve the people in a variety of ways.  Whether it’s coaching sports teams, volunteering at local food banks, or just helping a neighbor in need, the men and women in District Six play an important part in cities and towns throughout Eastern Idaho.

Eastern Idaho is one of the fastest-growing areas of Idaho.  Thanks to the strong economy and unlimited recreation opportunities, Eastern Idaho provides a quality of life that’s hard to beat.  It’s also home to both community colleges and universities and unlike many areas, traffic congestion is not a problem.  For more information on why Eastern Idaho is a great place to live and work go to the Eastern Idaho Development or the Idaho Department of Commerce.
