Advanced Training
The Idaho State Police Advanced Training Class (ATC) provides a 18-week course of training at its facility in Meridian, Idaho designed to develop and enhance the skills of carefully selected recruits with basic P.O.S.T. certification. ATC combines physical conditioning and human relations skills with training in a variety of law enforcement disciplines necessary to produce competent, professional, safe, and well-rounded Troopers for the Idaho State Police.
During ATC, recruits will receive approximately 1098 hours of training. Instruction includes but is not limited to the following areas:
