Welcome to the “Gateway” to the Northwest. The men and women who serve with ISP in District 5 serve in one of Idaho’s most scenic and beautiful areas. There are 47 men and women who serve with the Idaho State Police in Pocatello and they play a key role in providing a variety of law enforcement services to approximately 173,514 people in cities and towns across southeastern Idaho.
The men and women who serve with ISP District 5 are also an important part of their communities. Many of the members of ISP District 5 grew up in and around the area, and because of their connection to the area and commitment to the people, they are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people in District 5.
ISP District 5 is located in Idaho’s southeastern corner and borders Wyoming on the East and Utah on the South. The District Headquarters Office is located in Pocatello and includes Patrol, Investigations, and Post. It also includes one of ISP’s three Forensic Services Laboratories.
District 5 includes Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida, and Power Counties. It also includes many scenic landmarks like Bear Lake, Lava Hot Springs, and the Caribou National Forest just to name a few.
