On Friday, June 16, 2017, at approximately 9:05 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle injury crash on State Highway 48 at milepost 15.5, in Rigby. There were a total of five people in the three vehicles that were involved. Four of the five were taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls; one went by air ambulance, two went by ground ambulance, and one went by private vehicle. The fifth person was not injured. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts. At this time names are not being released.

The Idaho State Police was assisted by Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Rigby Police Department, Central Fire Department, and Rigby QRU. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
