On Sunday, July, 18, 2021, at 2:37 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash westbound on I84 at about milepost 194, west of Burley.

Catalin Cioinac, 22, of Riverside, California, was stopped on the side of I84 attempting to change a tire on his semi-truck. Casey Wilson, 27, of Jerome, was driving westbound on I84 in a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. Wilson drove off the road and struck the semi.

Both drivers were not wearing seatbelts, and neither were transported.

Traffic was reduced to one lane for two hours.
