On January 16, 2015, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle injury crash on Interstate 15 near milepost 63.

Tracy Godfrey, 40, of Logan, Utah, was driving northbound in a 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity when he lost control and the vehicle slid across the lanes. Godfrey's vehicle was then struck by a 2012 GMC pickup driven by Isaac Chatterton, 30, of Pocatello, and a 2008 Dodge pickup driven by Michael Baker, 59, of Ammon.

Godfrey was transported via ground ambulance to Portneuf Regional Medical Center. It is unknown at this time if Godfrey was wearing a seatbelt; both Chatterton and Baker were wearing seatbelts.

The lanes were blocked for approximately an hour and a half while crews worked to clear the scene. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
