On May 7, 2012, Idaho State Police are currently investigating a one-vehicle crash westbound Interstate 84 at mile post 207 in Minidoka County. The left lane is blocked. Further information will be released later today

On May 7, 2012, at approximately 5:46 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle fatality crash westbound Interstate 84 near mile post 207 in Minidoka County.

Andrew Castello, 28, of Eden, was traveling east on Interstate 84 in a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt when for unknown reasons he travelled off the left shoulder. Castello went back into the lane of travel and overcorrected causing his vehicle to overturn in the median. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and succumbed to his injuries at scene. Alcohol and weather are not thought to be a factor in this crash

This crash is still under investigation.
