Agency seizes several hundred pounds of Khat

Reporters are invited to an Idaho State Police News Conference today (9/17/09) at 3:00 p.m. at the ISP Region 3 Investigations offices at 700 S. Stratford in Meridian where the recent seizure of several hundred pounds of the illegal East African drug Khat (pronounced – COT) was made. The drug was being shipped through Boise when U.S. Customs officials intercepted the shipment.

ISP official will discuss details of the investigation, provide information on what Khat is, and show samples of the evidence seized.
