Injury Crash SB US95@297, 3 miles south of Lapwai

A maroon 2011 Kia Sorento, driven by a 63-year-old male from Caldwell, ID, was travelling southbound on US95 near milepost 297, approximately 3 miles south of Lapwai in Nez Perce County. The driver drifted on to the right shoulder then continued on to a private driveway near Maamin Drive. The vehicle traveled a short distance before striking a tree and coming to rest leaning against a power pole. Residential power was interrupted for an undetermined time. The male driver was transported to a local hospital. Assisting agencies are Nez Perce Tribal Police, Lewiston Fire Department, Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office.
