The Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday, February 17th, at approximately 8:00 PM, on US95 near Birch Avenue in Lapwai, Idaho.

A Pontiac Grand AM, driven by a 51-year-old female from Culdesac, Idaho, was travelling southbound on US95 when the vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian was a 69-year-old male from Lapwai. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Pontiac was wearing her seatbelt.

The 69-year-old males next of kin has been notified.

The roadway was blocked in both directions for approximately 2.5 hours.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
