Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle verses pedestrian fatality

MERIDIAN, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle verses pedestrian fatality which occurred at 2:51 a.m. on September 7,2024, on Interstate 84 at milepost 46 in Ada County. 

A 23-year-old male from Nampa, Idaho, was crossing the westbound lanes of Interstate 84.   A grey 2011 Subaru Impreza was traveling westbound on Interstate 84. The driver, a 30-year-old male from Nampa, struck the pedestrian who succumbed to his injuries at scene.

The driver of the Subaru was wearing a seatbelt and was not transported.

The left two lanes of Interstate 84 were blocked for approximately 4 hours.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
