On Friday, June 18th, 2021, at approximately 6:24 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a crash with injuries that occurred on Caldwell Blvd. and N. Canyon St, by the Fred Meyer in Nampa. Robert Funkhouse, 44, of Boise, was driving eastbound on Caldwell Blvd. in a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. Timothy Coggburn, 63, of Nampa, was driving westbound on Caldwell Blvd. in a 2019 Nissan Frontier. Funkhouse's Mercury crossed the center median divider and collided with Coggburn's Nissan.

Neither driver was wearing a seat-belt. They were both transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Funkhouse was later transported by air ambulance to University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
