Idaho State Police Investigates Fatal Crash on US93 Near Carey, Idaho

BLAINE COUNTY, ID – On January 14, 2025, at approximately 3:30 pm, Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on northbound US93 at milepost 213, just north of Carey, ID. 

A 55-year-old male from Idaho Falls, was driving southbound on US93 in a silver 2014 Chevrolet Silverado.  The Chevrolet Silverado appears to have crossed the center line into the northbound traffic and collided with a blue 2021 Toyota 4Runner, driven by a 62-year-old female from Kuna.  All occupants were wearing seat belts.  Both drivers succumbed to their injuries.

A 38-year-old female from Kuna, was transported by air ambulance to a nearby hospital.

The northbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 4 hours to allow emergency responders to assist those at scene.  The roadway is now open.
