Fatality Crash on State Highway 11 near milepost 28, Pierce, ID.

The Idaho State Police responded to a fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at approximately 1:30 PM on SH11 near French Mountain Road, in Clearwater County, Idaho. A 2005 Buick Century, driven by a 65-year-old female from Weippe, Idaho, was traveling northbound on SH11 when the Buick crossed left of center and collided with a 2016 GMC Sierra. The GMC Sierra was driven by a 55-year-old male from Pierce, Idaho. The driver of the GMC Sierra was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Buick Century succumbed to her injuries on scene.

The highway was shut down for approximately 2 hours while first responders investigated the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
