Fatality Crash East of Caldwell

Nampa, Idaho – Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash on Tuesday, February 18,2025 at 09:53 P.M. on US 20-26 at Franklin road, in Canyon County.

A 2017 Kia Sportage, driven by a 37-year-old male from Meridian, Idaho was northbound on Franklin Rd. A 2014 Ford F150 driven by a 21-year-old female from Templeton, California was westbound on US 20-26. The Kia failed to yield at the stop sign, northbound on Franklin Rd at US20-26 colliding with the Ford.

The driver of the Kia was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver of the Ford was wearing a seatbelt and was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital.

The roadway was closed for approximately three hours.

ISP was assisted by Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and Canyon County Fire & EMS.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
