Fatality Crash US 95 at Colburn Culver Rd, Sandpoint

SANDPOINT, Idaho – The Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash that is believed to have occurred on the evening of March 9th or morning hours of March 10th, 2025, near Sandpoint in Bonner County, Idaho.

A passenger car, driven by a 43-year-old female, was westbound on Colburn Culver Rd approaching the intersection with US-95 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle crossed over US 95, left the roadway, and ultimately came to a stop in a nearby pond. The driver was wearing her seatbelt and succumbed to her injuries on scene. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

US 95 was not blocked. Next of kin notifications are underway and being handled by the Bonner County Coroner’s Office.
