On November 8th, 2020 at approximately 4:42 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle injury crash on SH41 near milepost 16, just south of Spirit Lake.

Richard E Morrison, 72, of Spirit Lake, ID, was Northbound on SH41 when he hit a patch of ice and lost control of his green 2004 Ford F150 pickup. The vehicle rolled off the Northbound shoulder, ejecting Morrison. Also in Morrison's vehicle was Kathryn J Morrison, 69, of Spirit Lake, ID.

Neither Morrisons were wearing seat belts. Both were transported to Kootenai Health for their injuries. Investigation is continuing.
