Two Vehicle Crash Claims One Life Near Rupert
MINIDOKA, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash with one fatality that occurred at 2:55 P.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the intersection of N 400 E and E 900 N in Minidoka County.
A 74-year-old male from Paul was driving eastbound on E 900 N in a 2014 Ram 1500 pickup. He failed to yield to the stop sign at N 400 E and proceeded through the intersection, where the Ram was struck by a 2011 Dodge Caliber, driving southbound on N 400 E, and driven by a 51-year-old male from Rupert.
The Ram came to rest on its side in a nearby drainage ditch and the Dodge came to rest on the shoulder. The driver of the Ram was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported via air ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Dodge was wearing a seatbelt and was transported via ground ambulance to a nearby hospital.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
