Idaho State Police Investigates Fatal Three Vehicle Crash in Canyon County

CANYON COUNTY, ID – The Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:19 p.m. on June 7, 2025, at the intersection of Riverside Road and State Highway 55 just west of Nampa.

A blue 1999 Ford Escort, driven by a 59-year-old man from Boise and occupied by a 29-year-old woman from Greenleaf, was traveling westbound on Riverside Road when it failed to stop at the intersection and entered State Highway 55. The Ford collided with a northbound silver 2025 Toyota Tundra driven by a 47-year-old man from Pasco, Washington, who was accompanied by a 50-year-old female passenger, also from Pasco.

A gray 2022 Honda Civic, driven by a 23-year-old woman from Port Aransas, Texas, was traveling southbound on Highway 55. She swerved off the roadway in an attempt to avoid the collision.

The driver of the Ford Escort was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passengers of the Ford and the Tundra were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda Civic was not injured. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts.

The intersection was closed for approximately two and a half hours while emergency personnel provided assistance and cleared the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
