Idaho State Police seek information in hit-and-run crash on US-95
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Idaho State Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Monday, August 4, 2025, at approximately 12:10 p.m. The incident took place in the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 95, just north of the intersection of US-95 and West Prairie Avenue.
The suspect vehicle, a blue Dodge Dakota with unknown license plates, rear-ended another vehicle, causing that vehicle to collide with a third vehicle. Following the collision, the Dodge fled the scene by driving through the dirt median and into the parking lot of the Hayden Cinemas. Its current location is unknown.
At the time of the crash, the Dodge Dakota was carrying several pieces of lumber in the bed of the truck. The vehicle is believed to have sustained front-end damage and may display white paint transfer from the impact.
