Single-Vehicle Crash Near Horseshoe Bend

HORSESHOE BEND, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3:35 p.m., on SH55 at mile marker 65 in Boise County.

A Toyota RAV4, driven by a 32-year-old female from Renton, Washington, was travelling southbound on SH55 when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled before becoming engulfed in flames.

The southbound and northbound lanes were blocked for two hours and fifty minutes. They are back open currently.

The driver was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Boise County Sherrif’s Office, Horseshoe Bend EMS. Acute Rescue, and Life Flight.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
