Fatality Crash on SH46 near Wendell.

WENDELL, ID – Idaho State Police is investigating a four-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at approximately 5:06 pm on Thursday November 6, 2025.  The crash took place on SH46 at approximately milepost 92, near Wendell.

A 23-year-old male from Jerome, was driving northbound on SH46 in a blue 2019 Nissan Sentra.  The Sentra slowed to make a left turn onto 3600 S in Gooding County.  The Nissan was struck from behind by a red 1994 Chrysler LHS, driven by a 20-year-old female from Wendell. 

A 39-year-old male from Buhl was driving southbound on SH46 in a white 1999 Ford Ranger.  The Ford collided with the driver side of the blue Nissan after it was pushed into the southbound lanes.  The Nissan was then rear ended by a 2016 Chevrolet pick-up, driven by a 50-year-old male from Connell, WA. The driver of the Nissan succumbed to their injuries at scene.  All occupants were wearing seatbelts.

A juvenile passenger in the Nissan was taken by air ambulance to a local area hospital.

SH46 was completely blocked for approximately five hours as crews worked to assist those involved.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Gooding County Sheriff’s Office, Gooding County Rural Fire, St. Luke’s Magic Valley EMS and Idaho Transportation Department.
