SECOND UPDATE: Vehicle in fatal Plummer pedestrian crash located

The suspect vehicle involved in yesterday’s hit and run fatality crash has been located.

Idaho State Police wants to thank the public for all of the tips that came in following this incident.

The investigation is continuing.

UPDATE: Suspect Vehicle in fatal Plummer pedestrian crash identified

Through continued investigation, troopers identified the involved vehicle as a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado LT (Washington plate D71892H) registered to a residence in Spokane, Washington. The registered owner has not been confirmed as the driver.

Troopers and local law enforcement are working to locate the vehicle and determine who was involved in the fatal hit-and-run crash with a female pedestrian on northbound US Highway 95 at D Street in Plummer.

ISP continues to seek the public’s help to gather additional information about the crash or to determine the vehicle’s current location. Anyone with information is asked to call the ISP Regional Communication Center at 208-209-8730.

Idaho State Police seeks information on a fatal pedestrian crash in Plummer

(Original Release – 11/14/25 at 8:54 p.m.)

PLUMMER, Idaho – The Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on November 14, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m. on northbound US Highway 95 and D Street in Plummer.

Witnesses indicate a pickup truck, possibly silver or tan, driven by an unknown individual, was traveling northbound on US Highway 95 when it struck a female pedestrian in the roadway and failed to stop. The vehicle reportedly turned around and drove southbound on US Highway 95.

Life-saving measures were attempted on the pedestrian, but she succumbed to her injuries.

US Highway 95 was completely blocked for multiple hours while ISP and the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police processed the scene.

This incident remains under investigation.
