Fatal Crash on Kelly Toponce Rd, near Bancroft

BANCROFT, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred at 5:55 pm on Saturday, December 6^th, 2025, on Kelly Toponce Rd in Caribou County.

A 58-year-old male and 66-year-old male passenger from Blackfoot, Idaho were traveling northbound on Kelly Toponce Rd in a side-by-side ATV.  The Driver lost control and went off the side of the road and overturned the vehicle.  Driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts.  Driver and passenger were transported via ground ambulance to local hospitals.  The Driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on December 6th, 2025.  The passenger was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Caribou County Coroner’s office will release the decedent’s identity and determine the cause and manner of death.  The collision remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
