Fatality Crash State Highway 8 MP 29

Deary, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a single-vehicle injury crash that occurred at 09:47 a.m. on December 19, on state highway 8 near milepost 29, near Deary, Idaho

At approximately 09:47 a.m., a 82-year-old male, from Deary, Idaho, was travelling eastbound on State Highway 8 in a Buick Rainier. The vehicle went off the roadway and came to rest in a ditch. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was transported via ground ambulance to an in-area hospital. The driver later succumbed to his injuries. A seatbelt was not in use.

There were no other occupants inside the vehicle. Next of kin has been notified. The investigation continues.

The roadway was not blocked during or after the accident.
