Motorcycle and Box Truck Collision Results in Single Fatality
MERIDIAN, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at 3:56 p.m. on Monday, April 6th, 2026, at the intersection of N Locust Grove Road and E Ustick Road in Meridian.
A blue 2007 Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle, ridden by a 18-year-old male from Meridian, was driving northbound on Locust Grove. A white 2020 Hino 195 box truck, driven by a 34-year-old male from Caldwell, was turning left from the southbound lanes of Locust Grove onto Ustick. The motorcycle and box truck collided in the intersection.
The rider of the motorcycle was wearing his helmet and succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver of the box truck was wearing his seatbelt and was not transported.
The roadway was blocked for approximately five hours.
This incident is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
