Fatal Crash Powell, Idaho County

On August 07, 2026, the Idaho State Police investigated a fatal motorcycle accident which occurred on US Highway 12 near mile post 161 near Powell, Idaho. The accident is believed to have occurred on July 30th at an unknown time. The 43 year old rider of the motorcycle from Seattle, Washington, had been reported missing on July 31st. Evidence found at the scene indicated rider had been traveling eastbound on US12, when his motorcycle traveled off the left shoulder of the roadway, and crashed into several trees. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police. Next of kin has been notified.
