Fatal Crash US95 at milepost 467, Sagle, ID
On August 23, 2026, at approximately 1319 hours, Idaho State Police and Bonner County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury collision which occurred in the area of Milepost 467, on US 95.
Idaho State Police handled the investigation and Bonner County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted. It was determined a Toyota FJ Cruiser, driven by a 62-year-old male out of Oro Valley, Arizona, was traveling northbound on US 95. A Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 54-year-old male out of Spirit Lake, Idaho, was traveling southbound on US 95. The FJ Cruiser drove left of center and struck the Silverado, and its trailer in tow. The Chevrolet and trailer ran off the road at the southbound shoulder. The FJ Cruiser went off the roadway at the northbound shoulder. The male driver of the FJ Cruiser was transported to an area hospital, via ground ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Silverado declined to be transported from the scene.
The roadway was blocked for approximately two hours to process evidence and clear debris. The investigation is ongoing.
