Fatal Crash on Garfield Bay Rd, Sagle, Idaho

The Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on September 1, 2026, at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Garfield Bay Rd in Bonner County, Idaho.

A 64-year-old male from Sandpoint, Idaho, was driving a 1991 Ford F150 on Garfield Bay Rd when the vehicle left the roadway on the right shoulder and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

The Bonner County Sheriff’s office, Bonner County Coroner’s office, Bonner County EMS, and Sandpoint Road and Bridge assisted the Troopers at the scene. The roadway remained open throughout the investigation. The crash remains under investigation.
