ISP seeks help identifying driver who left scene of Island Park crash
ISLAND PARK, Idaho — Idaho State Police is asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a red Chevrolet Silverado who left the scene of a crash on U.S. 20 in Island Park on Sunday, Sept. 13.
Preliminary information indicates that at approximately 8 p.m., the Silverado attempted to pass illegally on a three-lane section of the highway, creating a near head-on collision with an oncoming Subaru. While attempting to avoid the pickup, the Subaru left the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled.
The two occupants of the Subaru were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Silverado left the scene.
Anyone who recognizes the Silverado pictured or has information about the driver is asked to contact Idaho State Police dispatch at 208-846-7500.
