Two-Vehicle Injury Crash in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred on September 21, 2026, at approximately 10:35 p.m. The crash occurred on US Highway 20 westbound at approximately mile marker 324, north of Rigby.

A 2003 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 34-year-old male from Rexburg, Idaho, was driving eastbound on US Highway 20. A 2026 Subaru Forester driven by a 39-year-old male and a 32-year-old female passenger, both from France, was traveling westbound on US highway 20. The Corolla crossed into the westbound lanes. The Corolla collided head-on with the passenger side of the Forester.

The driver of the Corolla was transported by ground ambulance to the local hospital. The occupants of the Forester were not injured.

Both the drivers and the passenger were wearing their seatbelts.

Roadways were blocked for approximately two hours.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
