On August 7th, 2018 at approximately 9:31 pm the Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash westbound on SH53 at milepost 13.4. Jeremy Mcvicker, 31 years old of Kalispell, MT, was travelling westbound on SH53 near milepost 13 on a silver 2006 Suzuki motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve. Mcvicker travelled into the eastbound lane and left the south shoulder of the highway, striking a tree. Mcvicker was ejected from the bicycle and succumbed to his injuries. Mcvicker was wearing a helmet. Next of kin has been notified. Investigation is continuing.
