Both drivers were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional in Twin Falls; Lea by ground ambulance and Martinez-Vitela by air ambulance.

On Friday, June 1, 2018 at approximately 6:18 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on US30 near milepost 229, just east of Hansen.
Naomi Lea, 29, of Twin Falls, Idaho, was driving eastbound on US30 in a 2008 Mitsubishi Galant. Jesus Martinez-Vitela, 51, of Mexico, was also driving eastbound on US30 in a 1991 Ford Ranger pick-up. Martinez-Vitela attempted to make a left-hand turn and was struck from behind by Lea. Lea was wearing a seatbelt, Martinez-Vitela was not.
The eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately thirty minutes.
