On May 4th, 2018 at 7:59 A.M. an injury crash occurred on Interstate 90 at milepost 22, near Wolf Lodge east of Coeur d'Alene. William T. Sandow, 70, of Cataldo, ID was westbound when the driver's side front tire on his 2001 Toyota Camry came off the vehicle. The tire went across the median and struck an eastbound 2017 Ram pickup at the windshield/roof seam. The roof collapsed injurying the driver, Danny C Dempewolf, 59, of Post Falls, ID and his son, Jacob S. Dempewolf, 35, of Coeur d'Alene, ID. Both were transported to Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, ID. All occupants in both vehicles were wearing seat belts.
