On March 13, 2018, at approximately 8:57 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash northbound I15 at milepost 106.5, near Shelley. Alli Russo, 19, of Claremore, OK, was driving a 2000 Honda Civic northbound on I15. Mario Hill, 58, of Menan, was driving a 1997 Kenworth dump truck northbound on I15. Russo was driving behind Hill and collided with him. Russo then crossed both lanes of travel and came to rest in the median.

Hill was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Russo was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. The slow lane was blocked for the investigation of the crash for approximately three hours.
