On Friday, September 8, 2017, at approximately 7:31 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash westbound on US Highway 20 near milepost 312, north of Idaho Falls.

Jared S. Martin, 19, of Honesdale, PA, was driving a 2014 Subaru station wagon when he fell asleep and the vehicle to drifted off the roadway. The vehicle hit the guardrail and went through the median. The vehicle rolled coming to rest on its side.

Martin and his passenger, Erika F. Bates, 18, of Hawley, PA, were wearing seatbelts.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Idaho Falls Fire and EMS.
