On August 14, 2017 at 8:20 am the Idaho State Police responded to a single vehicle crash northbound US95 MP 446 at Silverwood. Shelley L. Swoboda, 50 years old of Priest River, was traveling north on US95 in a Blue 2004 Ford F150 pickup when she drove off the road and into the median. She immediately went back into the lane of travel, overcorrected and rolled the pickup. Swoboda was not wearing her seatbelt and was airlifted to Kootenai Health. The road way was partially blocked for two hours.
