On February 5, 2016 at 3:01 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash westbound on I84 at mile marker 163, west of Jerome.
Harold T. Mays, 45, of Hagerman, was traveling westbound on I84 in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Mays slowed to avoid hitting a dog in the roadway. His Toyota was struck from behind by a 2000 Ford F350 driven by Rocky E. Scarrow, 39, of Jerome. Upon impact the Ford rolled into the median.
Mays, Scarrow, and a passenger in Scarrow's vehicle were all transported by personal vehicle to local hospitals. Mays was wearing his seatbelt. Scarrow and his passenger were not.
The left lane of travel was blocked for approximately one hour.
