The Idaho State Police has proudly served the people of Idaho since 1919. From the very beginning, our mission centered on public safety. That mission guides everything we do: protecting lives, upholding the law, and serving communities with integrity, courage, and professionalism. While the landscape of public safety has evolved, our purpose has never changed. Our work reaches every corner of the state. Whether keeping highways safe, investigating complex criminal activity, or supporting communities during critical incidents, ISP stands ready. We do this in partnership with local, state, and federal agencies, and most importantly, with the people of Idaho. Public safety depends on trust, and we work every day to earn and keep that trust. At the direction of Governor Brad Little, ISP is leading a focused, statewide effort to confront the most serious threats to Idaho’s safety. This includes stopping the flow of fentanyl, fighting human trafficking, and removing criminal illegal aliens from our communities. These issues are real dangers and demand relentless focus. ISP is taking decisive action by disrupting criminal networks, protecting victims, and working side by side with our partners to deliver real results for Idaho families. Our greatest strength is our people. Every member of ISP plays a role in this mission, bringing their skill, dedication, and commitment to serving the people of Idaho. Their work reflects the best of who we are as an agency and as a state. Public safety isn’t just our history, it’s our future. It’s the standard we hold ourselves to, the promise we make to every Idahoan, and the driving force behind every decision we make. ISP will continue to innovate and lead with purpose, ensuring Idaho remains a place where integrity, professionalism, and dedication are more than just words—they’re how we serve.
