On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Idaho State Police arrested Jody W. Underwood, 39, of Blackfoot, on a felony warrant for vehicular manslaughter.

This arrest stems from a two-vehicle fatal crash on
October 7, 2013 that occurred on US Highway 91 at milepost 93, south of
Blackfoot. Underwood was driving southbound on US-91 in a 1992
Buick Park Avenue when he collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Richard
Peyope, 45, of Fort Hall. Peyope succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the
crash.

This crash was investigated by the Idaho State Police and
the Fort Hall Police. The case is being prosecuted by the Bingham County
Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
