COEUR D'ALENE – The Kootenai County Coroner's Office has concluded the autopsy of John David Crispin, 37, who was found dead inside a Coeur d'Alene home on Sunday morning after a standoff with police. The autopsy results indicate that Crispin died as a result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

The incident is under investigation by the North Idaho Critical Incident Task Force with Idaho State Police detectives leading the investigation. Other agencies involved in the investigation are the Post Falls Police Department, the Rathdrum Police Department and the Coeur d'Alene Police Department.

The investigation is expected to take several weeks and no further information is being released at this time.
