On April 24, 2012, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a commercial vehicle crash on U.S. 95 in Washington County.
Keith A. St Hill, 35, of Hampton, Virginia, was traveling south on U.S. 95 in a Swift Transport Semi when he ran off the right shoulder of the road around milepost 116. He traveled approximately 300 feet, overcorrected and crossed the north bound lanes of U.S. 95. The semi took out 200 feet of guardrail before plunging down a 50 foot embankment and coming to rest. No injuries were reported.
Seatbelts were worn and alcohol was not a factor. St. Hill was taken into custody for careless driving and operating an over length vehicle without a permit. One lane of U.S. 95 was blocked for 4.5 hours.
This crash is under investigation by Master Corporal Nauman with assistance from Commercial Vehicle Specialist Ferris.
