CORRECTION: Fatality Crash NB Waha Rd. near Buchanan Rd. South of Lewiston

NEZ PERCE COUNTY, Idaho – The Idaho State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred Monday, June 23, 2025, at approximately 8:29 PM, on Waha Rd near Buchanan Rd in Nez Perce County, Idaho.

A Toyota 4runner SUV, driven by a 18-year-old female from Lewiston, Idaho, was traveling northbound on Waha Rd. The driver left the roadway, went into a ditch and rolled. The driver was transported to a local hospital via air ambulance.

The roadway was blocked for approximately 3 hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved.

The driver later succumbed to her injuries at the local hospital. Next of Kin has been notified.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol and Drugs are being investigated as factors. This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
