CORRECTION: Two-Vehicle Crash Results in One Fatality

The Toyota was traveling northbound. The Dodge was traveling southbound. All involved parties were wearing seatbelts.

FRUITLAND, Idaho – Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 10:57 p.m., on Monday, July 21, 2025, on southbound US Highway 95, near milepost 64.5, in Payette County.

A 45-year-old female, from Fruitland, was traveling southbound on US Highway 95 in a blue 2014 Toyota Rav4. The vehicle crossed over the center line, where it collided head on with a black 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 that was driving northbound, driven by a juvenile with two juvenile passengers

The driver of the Toyota was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. A passenger of the Dodge was taken via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver and the other passengers of the Dodge were not transported.

The driver of the Toyota was wearing a seatbelt as were the passengers of the Dodge, the driver of the Dodge was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.

The southbound lanes and one of the northbound lanes were blocked for 2 hours and 43 minutes.

This incident is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Fruitland Police Department, Fruitland EMS, Payette County Sheriff’s Office, and Fruitland Fire Department.
