On Monday, March 31, at approximately 6:27 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle fatality crash on US26 at milepost 169.5, the junction of US93 and US26, in Shoshone.

The driver of a 2000 Subaru Impreza was travelling westbound on Rail Street into Shoshone when they lost control of their vehicle, ran off the road, and struck a communications tower.

Next of kin have been notified.

More information will be released when it becomes available.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
